Corporate Tax Advisor

Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Corporate Tax team.
As a Corporate Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tax planning and advisory projects across areas like reorganisations, share schemes, capital allowances, R&D, due diligence and other tax planning.
This would be an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to progress their career and move away from a compliance based role. You will be in a role and environment where you can develop your career alongside a growing, yet established Tax Department.
This is a full-time position based at our Head Office in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Supporting the Tax Director and Head of Corporate Tax in delivering advisory work.
- Assisting on tax advisory projects including R&D tax relief, restructuring, EIS, share schemes and tax due diligence.

Healthcare - Personal Tax Junior / Semi-Senior

Accounts Senior

Our client base is continually growing and this has resulted in us looking to expand our commercial and business services team. We are currently looking for an Accounts Senior in Practice. We are looking for a candidate who can commit to a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.
Who we are looking for:
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accounting practice,
- Significant experience of preparation of statutory financial statements for small, limited companies with complex accounting issues
- Significant experience of preparation of year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Ability to liaise with clients to arrange accounts preparation and resolve queries directly
- Being able to present a completed high-quality file to manager/director for review
- Ability to working either on site or in the office depending on the nature of the client
- A good knowledge of the main accounting packages would be expected (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
- This is a dynamic and developing team so strong communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work cohesively with all members of staff
- Diligent and proactive personality with a drive to provide the highest service levels to clients

Healthcare - Accounts Senior

Corporate Finance Executive

Our leading corporate finance team works closely with owner-managed SMEs across North East England to support and guide them through their growth journeys. We deliver a full-range of specialist corporate finance assistance as a trusted advisor. This includes early stage fund-raising, through growth and development finance, assistance with acquisitions and restructuring, with an aim to maximise value for clients on ultimate exit.
The role is suitable for a recently qualified accountant who is an ambitious individual. The successful candidate will be keen to learn the profession from a deep involvement in a broad range of transactions. They will play a key role in, and benefit from, the continued growth of RMT’s corporate finance team.
Key duties of the role are:
- Undertaking business valuations.
- Producing business plans and information memoranda.
- Undertaking research into markets including identifying both acquisition targets and potential acquirers.
- Assisting in the marketing of businesses for sale.
- Preparing detailed financial models.
- Liaising with clients and professional contacts, and, in time, building their own network.
- Shadowing the experienced team members to learn the corporate finance profession and grow as an advisor.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be keen to join a growing accountancy practice and successful corporate finance team.
- Have a desire to learn the corporate finance profession.
- Be at least 12 months post qualification.
- Possess excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Be able to provide excellent client service.
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy networking with clients and professional contacts.

Corporate Tax Senior

As a Corporate Tax Senior/Assistant Manager you will have opportunity to work on wide ranging complex compliance with increasing exposure to tax planning, in a role and environment where you can progress in your career alongside a growing, yet established Tax Department.
This is a full-time position based at our Head Office in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with tax advisory work including EIS, share schemes, reorganisations, tax due diligence.
- Preparation of R&D tax relief claims.
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for larger, more complex, companies/groups.
- Mentoring more junior members of the team, playing an active role in their development.
Who we are looking for:
- You will ideally be ATT qualified with a corporate tax compliance background
- You will have some previous experience of advisory work.
- Experience of working with Digita would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Someone who is diligent and proactive.
